Key Biscayne Beach Club is a not for profit private beach club. We are made up of 836 property owners of Key Biscayne. In order to become a member of the KBBC you must own property on Key Biscayne. The Club was established in 1952 and remains today as it was then-a hometown, family oriented club for our members to bring their families and guests and enjoy Key Biscayne’s greatest natural resource-The Beach! Beginning March 21st, the Kevin Perkins Golf Academy will begin its After School Junior Program at Crandon Golf Course Key Biscayne with PGA Master Professional-Kevin Perkins. The Junior Program is open to Boys and Girls ages 7-17 and the curriculum includes full swing, putting, chipping, pitching and bunker play. The duration of the sessions will be for ten days taking place over ten consecutive Monday’s or Wednesday’s. The session rates are $160.00 per student for one ten-day session. Checks must be submitted at time of registration. Please keep in mind that both our Monday and Wednesday Sessions are limited to 8 Students so sign your child up today! March 21st through March 25th from 9:30am-4:30pm: Miami Seaquarium’s Spring Camp 2005. This is a great way for your child to learn about marine science in one exciting week. Spend the day seeing marine mammals shows, interacting with animals, playing games and doing arts and crafts in our exciting spring camp. The cost for the week is $200 per child and $180 for annual pass holders and siblings. This includes visit to all exhibits, marine shows and animal interactions. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, March 25 through 27: Miami Seaquarium’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt Celebration promises the Easter Bunny, A World Record Breaking Attempt, Prizes and Many Surprises. Hop on over to Miami Seaquarium, for South Florida’s largest Easter Egg Hunt Celebration on Easter weekend. As a part of the park’s year-long 50th anniversary celebration, this year the annual Easter Egg Hunt celebration will feature an attempt to break the “Biggest Bunny Hop” world record. In addition to the park’s regularly scheduled shows and exhibits and continuous Egg Hunts throughout the weekend, there be will be music, face painting, bounce houses, an inflatable slide and performances by the street theatre troop Urban Disturbance. Beginning March 28th, Outdoor BootCamp will be back on Key Biscayne! Inner Strength Studios has collaborated with Eric Lang’s BootCamp to start classes on Key Biscayne. Classes begin on March 28th with all participants registering on or before March 21st. The classes will run on 5 week intervals and consist of a combination of cardiovascular conditioning and resistance training. The class schedule will be Runners BootCamp Tuesday and Thursdays at 6:30am and Walkers BootCamp Monday and Wednesdays at 5:30pm. It’s time to get in shape for the summer and enjoy the great outdoors. These classes are taught by some of South Florida’s top fitness professionals who work as fitness coaches for Inner Strength Studios. Don’t miss out on the fun. Saturday, April 2nd: MAST Academy Second Annual PTSA Fishing Tournament Anglers may enter as individuals or teams, with prizes awarded in offshore, inshore and land categories according to a points system based on species caught. For detailed rules and registration, visit http://mast.dade.k12.fl.us/ or pass by MAST Academy on Friday, April 1, at 6 p.m. Registration fees are $10 for students, $15 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Team or boat entry fee is $50, and family entry fee is $35. Tickets for the barbecue, which will be prepared by MAST students under the direction of Master Chef Rudi Sodamin, are $5 for children and $8 for adults. April 9th and 10th is the date for the annual Key Biscayne Art Festival brought by the Key Biscayne Rotary Club Foundation. As usual, the Art Festival will be held on the south end of Crandon Boulevard. For this year's event, the Rotary Club has partnered with the highly successful event promoter, Howard Allen Productions. Attracting over 10,000 visitors from Miami-Dade and Broward, as well as visitors to the Key from around the world, the event has become a tradition on the Key celebrating art, freedom of expression and good cheer.
