Look out for Key Biscayne Magazine's April Entrepreneur Edition. I'm no psychologist, but there is a certain personality type whose company I enjoy. It takes a special person to make a dream a reality. These big thinkers accomplish their goals through sheer determination and an ability to think outside of the box.

I am referring to entrepreneurs. Look around you: if you are not one, then you probably know one. To these people "no" means "yes", and "yes" means "what's next?". They don't possess magical powers and don't need a crystal ball, yet they are led by an instinct that feels the pulse of their environment.

No one better fits that bill than legendary racecar driver and entrepreneur Emerson Fittipaldi, shown on the front cover for this issue. With passion and ingenuity he has excelled in many arenas, both on and off the road.

In this issue we salute entrepreneurs in Key Biscayne and beyond. Often a business starts with a thought, a word, or a sketch on a napkin. These risk takers overcome many obstacles to put their vision into action. They build empires by filling a niche or finding a better way of doing something that's already been done. Plenty of people help them along the way, from bankers for their funding to professionals in each field that they turn to. And they never lose sight of the fact that they cannot do it all alone. I commend them all.
