Victoria London, founder and CEO of London PR Company, also serves as Honorary Consul of Romania in Florida. A native of Transylvania, she started her career in New York as a research scientist for Columbia University's School of Engineering. Subsequently, Ms. London worked as a consultant for Booz Allen and Hamilton and CBS in the area of mergers and acquisitions.
Moving to Miami in 1974, she worked as an investment advisor at Southeast Bank and Goldman Sachs before becoming a partner of London Real Estate Company, managing income producing properties and developing real estate projects.
Besides her involvement in the business community, Ms. London is actively involved in philanthropic activities and projects in support of the arts. She sits on the boards of several banks as well as those of CARE, the Vizcaya Museum, and the Swiss-American Chamber of Commerce
Ms. London holds a masters degree in chemical engineering and an MBA, both from Columbia University in New York City.

Friday, May 19: The UM Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science cordially invites you to their 4th Annual Alumni Golf Classic held at Miami Shores Country Club. The event brings together alumni and friends of the Rosenstiel School in support of their Annual Fellowship and to build a community among their alumni. Beginning Monday, May 29: The Miami Seaquarium invites your children to take part in their 2006 Summer Camp! Children will have fun-filled days of education and conversation, daily animal interaction and shows, field and art activities, a souvenir water bottle, snack and a camp T-shirt.
Kindergarteners, 1st, 2nd and 3rd, 4th and 5th graders will be placed into separate groups. 6th and 7th graders will be grouped together. 8th graders and High School students will be grouped together.

The Siemens Foundation and the College Board announced the selection of MAST Academy science teacher Mark Tohulka as the State of Florida recipient of the 2005-06 Siemens Award for Advanced Placement in Mathematics and Science. Mr. Tohulka is one of 50 teachers nationally to win the award this year. Awards are presented to one teacher in each state.
MAST Academy mathematics teacher Dana Yancoskie published an article in the May 2006 issue of Mathematics Teacher. in a section of the journal called "Mathematical Lens" - which uses photographs as a spur to mathematical inquiry - Ms. Yancoskie offers a recent photo of the US flag affixed to the front of the American Airlines Arena and posits several questions, ranging from the hoist, fly, perimeter, and area of the flag to questions in probability. Her solutions are iincluded in the piece as well.
